The Louis Freyburger & Fils 's Estate, a fourth-generation family wine estate, is established in Bergheim next to Colmar, capital of Alsatian Wines, in an authentic landscape of Alsace along the Wine Road of Alsace, between the Rhine Valley and the Vosges Mountains.

The estate comprises about twenty hectares (fivety acres) and extends over several villages : Bergheim, Rorschwihr, Rodern and St Hippolyte.

The Bergheim's High Door

Located at the foot of the the Haut-Koenigsbourg castle, Bergheim is one of the most picturesque and touristic wine towns of Alsace, with its "Entrance Door" (Porte Haute) of the 13th century, its Witchcraft Museum, his Wall, his History : Bergheim was considered a "free village" during the reign of Henri de Ribeaupierre in the region.
In 1313, the town enjoyed many privileges, including the right to mint its own money, the right of refuge and the right to impose custom duties on merchants..

The Freyburger family perpetuates in Bergheim the tradition of high quality Alsatian winemaking.

All wines are aged in a quality conscious manner, in the old family cellar, where the Freyburger family welcomes you with great pleasure and invites you for a tasting of their different "Crus".

An environment-friendly viticulture :

The Freyburger family has for a long time carefully limited the use of pesticides and fertilizers. Biological methods, a manual harvest and low yields ensure high quality wines.
A hight qualitative biologic viticulture is used by Mr Freyburger. Lower yields (lower than the traditionnal norms), a minimal fertilisation and a manual harvest, assure a high level of wine's quality.
